You can but I wouldn't recommend it for the simple reason you are only 24 and don't have the skin of a 58 year old. A simple solution to your product is sunscreen. I recommend nothing less then 30spf and you should use it every single day. 90% of skin issues for older woman(and men) is the sun. The sun causes lines, wrinkles, sun spots, premature aging, loss of elasticity. If you wear sunscreen now it your young age, you'll look 40 when your 55, trust me!! so SPF SPF SPF!!! are you getting enough sleep too? stress? diet? all these things can affect the lines too but the sun is a major role too... hope this helps!! :)

I didn't start until my mid-30s, but I've been told early 30s is better. Each product is slightly different on every skin type. I really like Prescriptives Vibrant Eye Brightener. I'm 17, and my mother went out a few months ago and bought some iQ Derma products. They were anti-aging creams and anti-wrinkle serums and what not..
I noticed she never used the brightening eye cream but once. So I took it and used it a little while ago on my under eye area. Feels great!
Is it okay to continue using this eye cream at my age? I suppose I will Just finish the bottle then be done with eye creams, unless of course I like what I see ;)

If you are more on the dry skin side, I would recommend wearing a lotion one, and also lotions are better for using at night. On the other hand, gels are great to wear under makeup because the makeup wont slide off with a gel. And try to look for one with anti-oxidants, they will help with the damage from free radicals.

If I was you I would just go for a good moisturizer. My favorite is the Hydrating Creme Concentrate from Bee-Luscious. This stuff is awesome. It's oil, petroleum jelly and alcohol free. At your age this should be sufficient. But Bee-Luscious does have some great patented ant-aging creams, if you are set on using one, but I would advise against until your around thirty five or when you start noticing some fine lines.
